Formula
Each sachet contains acetylcysteine 200 mg and excipients q.s. (sucrose, sodium chloride, tartaric acid, flavour).

Dosage form
Granules.

Presentation
Box of 20 sachets x 3 g.

Indications
Respiratory secretion disorders (bronchus and sinus), acute bronchitis and early stage of chronic bronchitis.

Contra-indications
Sensitivity to acetylcysteine, gastro-duodenal ulcers and phenylketonuria.
Should not use for infants under 2 years.

Precautions
Use with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women.

Side effects
Possibility of gastro-intestinal disorders at high doses (gastralgia, nausea and diarrhea). In such events, reduce the dosage.
The physician should be informed any side effects during the treatment with MUXYSTINE.

Interactions
Some antibiotics including amphotericin, ampicillin sodium, erythromycin lactobionate and some tetracyclines are either physically incompatible with or may be inactived on mixture with acetylcysteine.

Dosage and Administration
- Adults and children over 7 years: 1 sachet x 3 times daily.
- Children from 2 to 7 years: 1 sachet x 2 times daily.
Dissolve the granules in a half glass of water.

Shelf-life
24 months.

Storage
Store in a dry and cool place (below 25 degree C). Keep out of reach of children.
